Project Title: The Glassworks 

Client: Greystar 

Location: Greenford, London UB6

Greystar’s vision is to regenerate a Brownfield site – previously occupied by GlaxoSmithKline & Lyons Bakeries – into a new canal-side neighbourhood. 

Along with shops, cafes, restaurants, cinema, retail and office space there will be over 2,000 rental homes across four buildings. The Glassworks​ is the third of those build-to-rent buildings to be completed.

Johnson Naylor were the interior architects, designing all the residents’ amenities and shared spaces, seeing the project right through to specifying all the FF&E as well as acting as consultants for apartment finishes and palettes.

The amenities occupy the ground, mezzanine and top floor of the building allowing residents a choice of locations from generously proportioned communal spaces where they can relax, meet and gather, to smaller more intimate places to concentrate, chat with a friend or just enjoy the views across West London. 

The design intent was to break away from much of the current visual language of the BTR market and move the design conversation forward but at the same time reflect our client’s brand values.

A place so easy to be in – simple, comfortable, purposeful that it becomes second nature
