Studio Coordinator
Johnson Naylor is hiring a studio coordinator to join its team in London.
Johnson Naylor is an interior architecture and design practice based in Clerkenwell, London. Founded in 1990 by Brian Johnson and Fiona Naylor, we have developed a reputation for delivering inventive, contextual and elegant design. We are looking for a studio coordinator to join our practice. They will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the studio, supervising maintenance and undertaking ad hoc tasks where necessary.
Key tasks:
– Supervise front of house – answer and transfer phone calls, accept and distribute deliveries, greet visitors
– Manage general studio Gmail account
– Coordinate the regular purchase of studio supplies (stationery, food, hand soap etc.)
– Ensure the studio is kept tidy and presentable; including arranging Studio Tidies
– Open up and prep the studio each day for the day ahead
– Coordinate cleaners and waste collection
– Take part in new staff inductions
– Organise staff training and appraisals
– Store and maintain confidential records and documents, holidays and sickness records
– Purchasing/credit card reconciliation: store receipts, supervise petty cash tin
– IT interface with IT manager
– Ad hoc project/studio-related tasks (often using Photoshop/InDesign)
– Assist with social media content curation
– Maintain studio events calendar and diary
– Arrange studio trips and activities
– Support the Studio Manager in studio operations and attend weekly catch up meeting with the Studio Manager
Requirements:
– Fluent English speaking, writing and reading skills
– Right to work in the UK – please note there is no opportunity for sponsorship in this role.
– High level professional communication and interpersonal skills
– Confident and personable in a front facing position
– Able to work independently and as part of a team
– High level of computer literacy with strength using Macs
– Exceptional organisational skills
– Knowledge of Adobe Suite
– Proficiency using Google Suite
– Proactive nature with the ability to prioritise and undertake a diverse range of tasks
– Full-time availability based at our studio in Clerkenwell from 9am to 6pm – please note this role is not suitable for hybrid working.
