Isokon and the Bauhaus in Britain. We were recently lucky enough to have a tour of the Isokon building and penthouse, a Grade 1 listed site designed by Wells Coates in 1934, as an experiment in middle class social living inspired by the modernist Bauhaus movement. We were given a tour of the two space by Magnus, the author of this book and former resident of the Penthouse itself.
Magnus has devoted many years to his research around Isokon and was incredibly insightful when showing us around the amazing space.
